SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager with POPM Certification Training Course
Develop the skills required to lead value delivery in a Lean enterprise — and learn the actions, tools, and mechanisms used to manage backlogs and programs — as a SAFe® 4 Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM). During this two-day course, participants will gain in-depth knowledge about the Agile Release Train (ART), how it delivers value, and how to effectively fulfill their role.
Participants will also learn how to apply Lean thinking to create Epics, break them down into Features and User Stories, plan and execute Iterations, and plan Program Increments. By the end, participants will understand the Continuous Delivery Pipeline and DevOps culture, learn how to integrate effectively in Product Owner and Product Manager roles, and discover what is needed for continuous improvement of the ART.
To fulfill the role of SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager, participants should be able to:
- Apply SAFe in a Lean enterprise
- Connect Lean-Agile principles and values with the PO/PM roles
- Collaborate with Lean Portfolio Management
- Discover continuous value through Program Increment planning

21 HoursPAQ is a three-day, hands-on training course designed to prepare candidates for the certification exam while focusing on developing practical skills that can be immediately applied in the workplace.
The exam is structured as a practical, hands-on assessment. Candidates receive a product backlog release containing user stories, related design documentation, and a 'multi-drop' application pre-loaded with defects. Participants are provided with clear instructions regarding the expectations for the practical assessment, along with the opportunity to produce the necessary work products. Each assessment includes one or two additional scenario-based questions requiring written responses (up to five questions in total), covering various competencies. These written answers, along with the responses to the product backlog release, are evaluated by an independent assessor. The assessment duration is 2.5 hours.
