Superset Data Visualisation and Dashboard Consulting Requirement
A major financial services firm sought to transition away from a commercial industry-leading BI solution for one of its core products, migrating instead to an open-source platform (Superset) to achieve significant savings on licensing costs.
Deliverables NobleProg conducted multiple project meetings with the client to thoroughly understand the requirements, scope, risks, and technical environment. Based on these discussions, we developed a comprehensive Statement of Work to guide and track project progress. Our lead consultant worked to align the existing data architecture with the specific reporting requirements for each report type. We recommended optimizations to the data stores to maximize the potential of Superset and ensure optimal performance, while providing the implementation team with clear guidance on making these changes. After optimizing the data store and data pipeline, our consultants began building and deploying a range of reports based on both existing requirements and new requests from the business and its customers. To meet specific presentation needs, custom plugins were developed to enable more interactive data views, such as drill-down features.
Outcome Our consultants have continued to build new dashboards while ensuring that the client’s organization possesses the necessary knowledge to maintain these dashboards and reports independently. The project is currently ongoing and has been well-received by both the client’s business unit and their end-users. To further capitalize on this success, the project scope has been expanded to include additional products and client segments.
