Requirement for Superset Consulting A major financial services organization sought to transition away from a leading proprietary BI solution for one of its key products. Their goal was to migrate to the Open Source platform Apache Superset to achieve significant savings on licensing costs.
Deliverables NobleProg held several project meetings with the client to fully understand the requirements, scope, risks, and technical environment. Based on these discussions, we developed a comprehensive Statement of Work to guide and track the project's progress. Our lead consultant focused on aligning the existing data architecture with the specific reporting requirements for each report type. We recommended changes to the data stores to optimize Superset's usage and ensure peak performance, while providing guidance to the team responsible for implementing these updates. After optimizing the data store and data pipeline, our consultants began building and deploying a variety of reports based on existing needs and new requests from the business and its customers. To present the data as requested, we developed custom plug-ins to enable more interactive data presentation features, such as drill-down capabilities.
Outcome The consultants have been constructing new dashboards while ensuring that sufficient knowledge is embedded within the customer’s organization to maintain these dashboards and reports.
The project is currently ongoing and has been well received by both the customer's business unit and their end clients. To highlight the project's success, its scope has been expanded to include additional products and end clients.
